Abel Z. - A REMINDER TO FIND OURSELVES BEFORE WE'RE COMPLETELY LOST
I read this book in a sitting. It's such an easy read but an important one. It's a reminder of that which we had that gave us purpose, but when we're lost, to go back and find that purpose and complete it to avoid regrets in the future. I truly enjoyed it, and it's a motivator to my purpose in life. I carry it around to read it quickly when I need that extra push.

"Excellent Urban Poetry from New York Rican..."
"Percussionist, photographer, and author Victor Velez's second written word outing is a grand slam out of the park! Here he highlights his own urban experience and his cultural reaffirmation. Wonderfully written short poems and written word on a wide variety of themes ranging from post-Colombian colonization to contemporary sociological observations. Mr.Velez's work is appealing in its simplicity and endearing in its depth. At times humorous and thought-provoking, Conga Blues is an entertaining and thoughtful read. Highly recommended!"
